1. Domain Registration & Management
SMBL Digital may provide domain registration and management services on behalf of clients. This includes registering new domain names, renewing existing domains, and managing domain settings where required.
Domain management may be provided as part of a hosting package or as a separate service.
2. Domain Ownership
The client remains the legal owner of the domain name unless otherwise agreed. SMBL Digital acts as the domain manager or registrar contact for administrative purposes when managing the domain on behalf of the client.
3. Domain Renewal
Domain names must be renewed periodically to remain active.
Where domain renewal is included as part of a hosting or service package, SMBL Digital will manage the renewal process while the relevant service remains active.
If hosting or domain management services are cancelled, the responsibility for domain renewal may transfer back to the client.
4. Renewal Responsibility
SMBL Digital will make reasonable efforts to ensure domains are renewed on time where domain management services are active.
However, the client remains responsible for ensuring that domain services remain active and that required payments are kept up to date.
If a domain expires due to unpaid invoices or cancelled services, SMBL Digital cannot guarantee that the domain will remain available for renewal or recovery.
5. Domain Transfers
Clients may request to transfer their domain to another provider at any time. SMBL Digital will provide the necessary transfer information once any outstanding invoices relating to domain services have been settled.
Depending on the circumstances, domain transfers may require administrative work such as unlocking the domain, providing authorisation codes, updating registrar settings, or coordinating DNS changes. Where additional administrative work is required, a transfer or administration fee may apply.
6. Domain Availability
SMBL Digital cannot guarantee the availability of any domain name prior to registration. Domain registrations are processed through third-party registrars and are subject to their availability rules and policies.
7. Third-Party Registrars
Domains are registered through external domain registrars. SMBL Digital cannot control or guarantee the policies, pricing, or availability determined by these providers.
8. Domain Cancellation
If domain management services are cancelled, SMBL Digital may remove domain management access and the client may be required to transfer the domain to another provider before the next renewal period.
