1. Scope of Service
SMBL Digital provides website design and development services based on the selected package or quotation agreed with the client. While the overall process remains the same, the depth of the project, number of pages, and included features may vary depending on the selected package.
2. Project Process
Website projects generally follow the stages below:
- Project confirmation and deposit payment
- Collection of required materials from the client (logo, images, content, etc.)
- Website design and development
- Client review and feedback
- Final adjustments and approval
- Website launch or project handover
The client will be given the opportunity to review the website and request reasonable revisions during the development stage. Revision requests should relate to the agreed scope of the project. Additional changes or requests outside the agreed scope may be subject to additional fees.
Project timelines depend on the client providing required materials and feedback in a timely manner. If the client delays providing content, approvals, or feedback for an extended period, the project timeline may be adjusted accordingly and SMBL Digital reserves the right to reschedule the project within its workflow.
3. Payment Terms
An agreed deposit is required before any work begins.
The remaining balance must be paid in full before the website is made live or before the website files are handed over to the client.
SMBL Digital reserves the right to pause work or delay project delivery if payments are overdue.
4. Client Responsibilities
The client is responsible for providing all necessary content, images, branding materials, and information required to complete the website.
Where applicable, the client should also provide brand guidelines, preferred colour themes, and example websites or design references before the design process begins. These references help ensure the design direction aligns with the client’s expectations.
If design references or preferences are provided after the design stage has begun, this may require additional revisions and may result in additional work outside the agreed project scope.
Content provided by the client must be accurate and lawful. SMBL Digital is not responsible for verifying the accuracy of information supplied by the client.
5. Website Design as a Standalone Service
Website design and development fees are charged as a standalone service for creating the website.
A completed website cannot be made live without a hosting environment. If the client purchases hosting from SMBL Digital, the website will be launched and maintained on our hosting platform.
6. Complex Integrations and Custom Development
Requests involving third-party platforms, external systems, custom functionality, or advanced integrations may require additional development work.
Examples may include integrations with:
• Email marketing systems
• CRM platforms
• Booking or reservation systems
• Payment gateways
• External APIs or custom software
Such requests will be reviewed and quoted separately if they fall outside the scope of standard website add-on services.
7. Hosting Requirement
For a website to go live on the internet, a hosting service is required.
Clients may choose to:
• Purchase hosting from SMBL Digital, or
• Manage their own external hosting provider.
If hosting is not purchased from SMBL Digital, the completed website will be exported and provided to the client once the project is completed and all outstanding payments have been settled.
Installation of the website onto an external server is not included unless agreed separately.
8. Project Completion
Once the website has been completed and delivered or launched, the design project is considered finished. Any additional updates, new pages, design changes, or development work requested after project completion may be subject to additional charges.
